Below is Superintendent Matt Leeman’s letter regarding negative lunch balances.
As of 10/1/2024 if your child has a negative balance, we will be shutting off the option for ala carte. This means your child will not be able to purchase anything extra that is above and beyond our nutritious hot lunch options. An example of an ala carte item would be a rice Krispie treat, a bag of chips, a second lunch entrée, or anything offered outside of our menu items listed for that day. They will still receive a nutritious meal. Once the balance is positive, we will turn the ala carte feature back on for your student.
Remember that you will not be able to purchase any extra items from the lunch line if your account is below zero. This includes any ala carte items, leftover items or additional entrees. If you are bringing money into the office, you will need to drop it off first thing in the morning. Money brought to the office after 9:30 a.m. may not get deposited in time for the day’s lunch.
