Middle School Fall Conferences
Communication between home and school is critical towards providing an effective instructional environment for children. As we prepare for Parent-Teacher Conferences at the middle school, we look forward to your insights regarding your child’s education as well as your input about how their school year is going. As a parent, you provide valuable information for your child’s classroom teacher so they are better able to address your child’s needs. Our teachers truly appreciate the support that you give to your child in his/her education while they are at home. During your conference, your child’s teacher will be sharing information about your child’s achievement, work habits, and peer relationships. Please feel free to write down any questions that you may have for your conference.
This year’s formal Parent-Teacher Conference Nights are scheduled as follows:
Wednesday, October 23, 2024 – 2:00pm to 6:30pm
Thursday, October 24, 2023 – 4:00pm to 8:00pm
An informational letter concerning Middle School Fall Conferences will be emailed to middle school parents (sent to the first parent listed in Powerschool) on Friday, October 4, 2024 and includes instructions regarding how to sign up for conferences through our online process. Sign up will open at 7:00 am on Monday, October 7. 2024. 5th grade core class teachers will meet individually with parents while 6th – 8th grade core class teachers will again be paired together for student conferences. Parents are asked to schedule one conference for each child. If you feel that you need more time than our conference setup allows for, please contact one of your child’s teachers directly through email, or call the school at 319.895.6254 to set up a meeting for another time.
We look forward to meeting with all of our middle school parents in an effort to support and enhance the educational process for our students!

MVMS Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on:
- Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 2:00pm-6:30pm (Wednesday, is an early dismissal day)and Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pm
- MVMS uses an online scheduling tool (PT Connect) so that you may schedule your own conferences.
- The scheduler will open on Monday, October 7th at 7:00 am and will remain open until 3:00pm before each conference day.
- An email containing the link and login credentials will be sent to the parent/guardian listed as Contact 1 in our student information system (PowerSchool) on October 4th. The subject line is MVMS CONFERENCES.
- If you are not listed as Contact 1 in PowerSchool and live in a different household, but would like to schedule a separate conference for your child, please contact Patty Mote at pmote@mvcsd.org for a password.
- Please note: 5th grade has a separate sign up link from 6th,7th & 8th grade.
